Frankfurt – The CAITME trade fair, scheduled from 11 to 14 September in Tashkent, Uzbekistan, will feature significant participation from VDMA member companies, with around 25 members set to attend. Of these, 13 companies will exhibit within the official German Pavilion, organized by the German Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs and Climate Action in collaboration with VDMA. Notable participants include Brückner Textile Technologies, Erbatech, Georg Sahm, Groz-Beckert, Heusch, KARL MAYER STOLL Textilmaschinenfabrik, KURIS Spezialmaschinen, Lindauer DORNIER, Oerlikon Textile, Stäubli Bayreuth, STC Spinnzwirn, THIES, and Xetma Vollenweider.
At CAITME, these VDMA member companies will present the latest advancements in textile technology, with a strong emphasis on sustainability and the digitalization of production processes.
In 2023, Germany exported textile machinery and accessories worth 85 million euros to Uzbekistan, making it the second-largest supplier to the Uzbek textile sector after China. Uzbekistan is a major global player in cotton production and exports, boasting a fully integrated production chain that spins almost all of its cotton fiber domestically. The Uzbek government has implemented extensive economic reforms in recent years, positioning the textile industry as a key investment sector. In addition to cotton spinning, the country is expanding its capabilities in downstream production processes, such as fabric making, finishing, and dyeing.
Dr. Harald Weber, Managing Director of the VDMA Textile Machinery Association, emphasized the importance of technological advancements in the textile industry, stating: “To compete globally in the textile industry, companies must prioritize technology updates. CAITME is an ideal platform to strengthen collaboration between our industry and the Uzbek textile sector and to establish new connections.”
The German Pavilion will be located in Pavilion 4 of the Uzexpocentre in Tashkent. For more information, visit: https://caitme.german-pavilion.com/
