Techtextil 2005 Fair shall take place between 7-9 June 2005 at Frankfurt, whereby visitors and suppliers of textile products shall have the opportunity to come together.
The representatives Messe Frankfurt who organized the Fair held an introductory meeting entitled “Technial Textile” whereby information was given in relation to the fair organization. Michael Jaeneke, Director of Techtextil Frankfurt Fair, during his speech at the introductory meeting pointed out that just like technical textile plays an important in the field of industry, it also plays an important part in people’s daily lives as well and that technical textile is a unique concept. Jaeneke, continued to say that the textile products shall be categorized at the Fair according to their fields of application and underlined the fact that as regards the question as to where and how the textile products are being used is of significant importance. Due to their multiple variability features, the technical textile industry is quite an innovative structure continued Jaeneke and added “At the moment the most powerful application fields are Mobiltech, Indutech and Sporttech. As time moves on more and more textile is being used in different fields such as filtering (Oekotech)and substructure (Geotech). When technical textile is compared to other materials, we can see that it has many advantages such as being light weight, flexible, at affordable prices, multi-functional and endurable”. Jaeneke pointed out that technical textile has been growing at great speed in the world textile market and that the production and consumption of technical textile in industrial countries such as America and Europe is 40 percent, in developing countries such as China it is 20 percent. Jaeneke underlined that regarding fields of application, they are conducting a research on world textile consumption, according to the research results, it has been determined that in the field of Buildtec consumption was realized at 2 million 591 tons, in the field of Geotech consumption was realized at 413 thousand tons. Jaeneke stated that Turkey is a very important country for technical textile users and producers, Turkish firms have shown great interest to the Fair. Jaeneke said that various side programs and events are going to be organized at the Techtextil 2005 Fair, he listed these events as follows : Techtextil symposium, Techtextil exhibition, Techtextil innovation awards and ‘Textile Planning for New Buildings” themed student’s competition.
Between the above mentioned same Fair dates Techtextil and Texprocess fairs shall take place as well where visitors shall have the opportunity to get acquainted witj technical textile and non-woven textile, garments made from functional textile, furnishing and mattresses, textile for automobiles and space industry, home and home related textile, and products relating to technologies for production, final process and textile transformation. Texprocess fuarı hakkında bilgi veren VDMA Giyim ve Deri Teknolojisi’nden Veronika Marz, from VDMA Garment Waer and Leather Technologies provided information about Texprocess Fair stating that as regards the processing textile and flexible materials of Texprocess, this is a prominent commercial fair. Marz gave information about the Fair and said as follows : “Texprocess offers sharp edge Technologies regarding to design, cutting, IT, sewing, knotting, embroidery, textile winding (spool), final process and logistics. 20 product groups represent the whole textile value chain. The new issues encountered by the garment industry and the technical textile industry are sustainable manufacturing. Sustainability factor is realistic and growing competitive factor. The key to sustainability is technological development”. Marz stated that in order to develop the market they have moved their production facilities to locations closer to the Consumers, and added that those who are able to respond to worldwide markets in the minimum amount of time are those who shall surely be successful in the market.
