Textile and Outfit Quality Assessment and Research Laboratory of İTU Faculty of Textile Technologies and Design was accredited by Turkish
Accreditation Agency (TÜRKAK) for almost 4 years until 26.05.2019. Successfully passing 33 tests, which are in accordance with the TS EN ISO/IEC 17025 Standard of General Conditions for the Sufficiency of Experiment and Calibration Laboratories, the laboratory has the quality of being the most comprehensive one accredited in the field of textile with the status of “Experiment Laboratory”.

UNIVERSITY-INDUSTRY COOPERATION
Since 1983, Textile and Outfit Quality Assessment and Research Laboratory provides test and analysis services in order to meet the requirements of governmental and private agencies and companies as well as universities on the basis of academic knowledge, experience and expertise as a unit of the Department of Textile Engineering. Homogeneity of the measurements and traceability of the performed measurements by the laboratory, measurements’ credibility, measurement infrastructures of the experiments performed at the laboratory are confirmed with this comprehensive accreditation. Owing to this, the quality of the services provided for the textile and outfit sector which have important contributions to the country’s economy, production, export and establishment as well as the public agencies is improved, and an important strength was gained towards providing environment and opportunity for the cooperation of university-industry and supporting scientific and industrial R&D/P&D/D&A processes.
