Regardless of the variable conditions of global economy and the constant tightening of the sector accordingly, we with our simple and light-footed team increased our efficiency within our inner procedures and reached successful numbers in our financial results. As a world leading company in the sector that has been providing fortification materials for the world’s leading rubber companies for more than 40 years, we always aimed for the better and we got to this point”.
Cenk Alper mentioned about their important investments in rubber sector in the beginning of 2015, and also added: “Due to the variable conditions of today’s global economy, production moving from west to east and Asian actors with increasing numbers in the sector, we are striving to become a Kordsa Global that is becoming different from its competitors. In that sense, with a strategic decision we took, in the beginning of 2015 we opened a Rubber Cord Fabric Factor of 18 kilotons and third and fourth generation polyester HMLS yarn factories of 14 kilotons with a total amount of $ 100 million in addition to the existing investments in Indonesia, in order to strengthen our investment in rubber sector.” Kordsa Global took important steps in transferring its knowledge and experience in rubber market in 2014 into new markets. In the upcoming period we will start providing products through our fortification expert positioning for the construction and composite areas we define as sub-sectors.” Cenk Alper continued: “On the basis of the presented improvement, we developed a fiber reinforced concrete via the fiber technology we acquired as a result of hard work for the building sector under the brand Kratos. For this purpose we opened up Kratos Makro production line at the end of the year 2014. The foundation of the Composite Technologies Perfection Center, which is another outcome of this strategy, was initiated with the cooperation of Sabancı University again at the end of the year with the participation of Prime Minister Ahmet Davutoğlu and Sabancı Holding Chairman of the Executive Board Güler Sabancı.”
