TEMSAD, is targeting at fomenting Turkish textile machinery exports and within the framework of its existing collaboration with ATMA, they are ready to conquer America with their 12 members.
Textile Machinery and Accessories Industry Association (TEMSAD), within the framework of a new collaboration is on its way to America. As a result of the collaboration between TEMSAD, American Textile Machinery Manufacturers Association (ATMA) a workshop shall be held the American textile center Sharlott between the dates 12-16 October. The event shall take place at Gaston College Kimbrell Campus to which 12 companies from Turkey shall take part in. President of TEMSAD Mr. Adil Balbant stated that this organization shall be held with the aim to augment their exports volume, as well as to increase in a positive manner the identity of Turkish textile machinery in the international markets and regarding manufacturing, he stressed that fact that it is imperative to attain the levels of international norms so that they become the preferred products in terms of customers. Mr Nalbant provided some information prior to the event that is due to take place in America, “TEMSAD has already signed collaboration agreements with around 16 countries. One of these companies is ATMA (American Textile Machinery Manufacturers Association). In scope of the said collaboration agreement, with the mutual accord of both associations we as TEMSAD were desirous to hold a workshop. The event shall be held prior to ITMA. The fact that Turkey shall be participating to ITMA with over 130 participants has caught the attention of the American industrialists. Accordingly, prior t o ITMA, we are looking forward to bringing together the American and Turkish textile machinery manufacturers with the aim to create synergy. 12 companies from Turkey shall be participating to the said event. On the first day of the event we shall be meeting with the American industrialists.On the second and third days we shall be visiting the companies. ATMA shall determine the companies that we shall be visiting; these companies shall be those that the Turkish machinery companies are interested in meeting. The companies that shall be visited are the potential machine buyers” he said.
“OUR AIM IS TO INCREASE THE EXPORTS OF OUR MEMBERS”
President of TEMSAD Mr. Adil Balbant also talked about the reasons why the event shall be taking place in America following the research and work carried in terms of American Textile Industry, he stated as follows: “At the present time the biggest buyer of textile machinery in the world is China, worth a figure of 25 billion dollars. China is purchasing 2.5 billion dollars’ worth of machines per year. This data is very important for us. America prefers to purchase machinery that is of high added value, technical textiles and high technology machines. It can be said that the end result of our machine producers meeting with the American industrialists in America, shall be of great contribution for both countries. It is a known fact that America has made major investments in textile. We have learned through our research that America is purchasing dye finishing machines on a large scale. S ince our strongest point in terms of machines are that of dyeing – finishing machines and finishing machines I believe this business trip shall be fruitful one. We, our machine manufacturers are endowed with a technology capable of manufacturing at world standards. At the present time there are companies that export to America. Our aim here is to raise our exports levels in t he A merican m arket. F ollowing o ur visit there I believe that we shall achieve this increase and give start to fruitful collaborations. The interest vested in the Turkish machinery industry by American industrialists is increasing day by day. We are planning to promote the Turkish textile machinery companies more closely to the American industrialists”.
