“Türkiye 100”, a competition held by the leadership of TOBB in cooperation with TEPAV and AllWorld Network for the fastest growing companies of Turkey, has ended. Companies that got among the ranking in Turkey’s fastest growing companies competition, received their prizes with a ceremony in İstanbul Çırağan Palace. The event in which a lot of businessmen participated witnessed beautiful moments. In the competition HAS GROUP became the 28th company among the 100 by increasing its sales income by 250%. Plaquet was received by HAS GROUP Chairman of the Executive Board Tamer Hasbay during the ceremony. Almost half of the companies that grew fast in “Turkey 100” competition were from Istanbul. Among this list HASGROUP is the first in textile machine production within atotal of 6 companies under the category of “Not elsewhere classified machine and production”.
TOBB President stated that they give great importance to this work and that they will have it traditional and added: “Because each growing company is an investment to Turkey’s future”. In his speech at the award ceremony, TOBB President M. Rıfat Hisarcıklıoğlu said: “A part of the fight against terrorism consists of economy. Without peace there is no commerce, and without commerce there is no wealth. Peace-commercewealth are only possible when together”. Pointing out that entrepreneurship must be supported and appreciated more in Turkey, Hisarcıklıoğlu said that everybody is looking for a guarantee job and nobody is willing to take any risk and therefore it is a necessary to change this perception.M. Rıfat Hisarcıklıoğlu also gave information about the numerical outlook of his 100 companies. The 100 companies in question have a total revenue of 2,7 billion dollars, the approximate company revenue is 25 million dollar, the average growth rate of his companies during the 2011-2013 period is 358%, and emphasized that the growth rate of his companies is 15 times faster than Turkish economy national income increase rate. Also stating that the average of the total personnel working in these companies is 18 thousand, the average workers for each company is 165 and that the total of the number of workers in 2011-2013 period increased 88%, Hisarcıklıoğlu s aid: “ Companies p rovided new jobs for more than 8 thousand people. The entrepreneurs that established their “Turkey 100” companies had an age average of 32 when they founded their companies. And the current age average of the entrepreneurs is 43. All of 8 companies are founded by female entrepreneurs, yet this number is not enough for women,we have to increase this. Another characteristic of Turkey 100 companies is that they are serial entrepreneurs. They are not satisfied with their current companies and founding new companies. Is entrepreneurship something like this already? 85 per cent of the company owners founded at least one new company. The total number of the companies that the CEOs of Turkey 100 companies founded is 600.” Also stating that entrepreneurs are representing Turkey’s competitive strength, so the most priority of Turkey is to establish a business and investment environment where they will develop and grow, Hisarcıklıoğlu said that this subject is not only economic, yet it is also a social issue. In the “Turkey 100 Content”, İstanbul took the first place in the list of ranking numbers with 45 companies. HAS GROUP is also in this ranking. Ankara with 12 companies, Kocaeli and İzmir with 7 companies, Kahramanmaraş with 5 companies, Gaziantep, Konya and Antalya with 3 companies followed İstanbul. When the sectoral distribution of the winner companies is considered, “Information Service Operations” took the first place with 15 companies. “Production of nutrition products” with 8 companies, Computer programing, consultancy and related operations” with 7 companies, “Other productions” with 7 companies, “Production of textile products” with 6 companies, “Machine and equipment production which is not categorized under another part” ,in which HAS GROUP is categorized again, with 6 companies, “Human health services” with 4 companies entered into the ranking. Another speech of the award ceremony was given by Talat Ulussever,Head of the Executive Board of Borsa İstanbul. By remarking that a period when economic fault lines are active at the global level and global power centers are being relocated, Ulussever also said that “there is no doubt that this change has an important effect on many areas from our companies to technological development,our political policies to social lives”. While remarking that almost 50 per cent of 15 thousand global companies whose annual incomes will pass 1 billion dollars in 2025 will be located in the developing countries, Ulussever told these: “When the contemporary circumstance is considered, the truth that 7 of 10 global companies will be originated in a developing country until 2025 confronts us. It is also conspicuous that important changes which will affect our financial markets waiting for us in the next period. While 21 per cent of the total global financial assets at the value of 185 trillion dollars were in the developing countries in 2010, it is anticipated that these assets will increase to 371 trillion dollars and the share of the developing countries to 30 per cent in 2020.” The fastest growing 100 companies of Turkey, which are determined with regard to the increase rates in the sales income, will have a chance to increase their visibility in the global marked and strengthen their international ties and closely know the USA market by means of the business trip to the USA.
