In which league is our Turkish chemistry industry taking place when we take World chemistry industry into consideration? What are the trends in textile chemicals?
‘’The most important problem is chemistry sector, a mass sector from the aspects of capital and technology, is the supplement of raw material. %70 of the used raw material is being important and the other %30 is being provided with domestic production. Surface-active and enzyme and so on raw materials, which are important inputs, is based on importation and this condition lead to the formation of foreign trade deficit in the chemistry sector at the utmost level. As a company, one of our goals is to reduce external dependence by designing more reactional products.’’
How do you evaluate the sector in the following period?
The most powerful aspects of the sector for 2015 year are production flexibility, capacity to develop environment-friendly products, highness of enterprising understanding, and awareness of the need for making investments. The blind sides are capital accumulation inefficiency, planning inadequacy, the shortness of technological accumulation and know-how inefficiency. When all of the factors are being taken into consideration, we are hopeful that the sector will grow comparing to the last year in 2015 to the extent that we produce know-how and technology in chemistry sector in 2015 year, minimize the import input dependence of the sector and giving priority to the production of the chemicals with high added value and take precautions and make investments in order to reduce the production cost.’’
