Entema starting its activities for the textile sector in 1992 in Çorlu/Tekirdağ develops new technologies with its R&D works without ceasing. Structuring its productions around the demands and advices of its customers Entema exports machines to many countries based on its 20 years experience. The company accelerating its works for low-energy use being one of the most-demanded features in the global market varies its innovations for high unshrinkability and softness effects, high production capacities, low energy use, low maintenance costs and environmentally safe features besides keeping the noise levels of machines within the degree of safety for protecting workers’ health. Additionally, Entema has been increasing its activities in each period in Turkey, Middle East, South America, Asia and Apac.
Ömer Gökcan, Machinery Executive of Entema stating this new machine introduced to the market with Swell Soft trademark is a first in the world in consideration of its functional principle remarked that this new project is actually not quite different than drying machines but is a machine which can be used with some additional features and has usage areas in various sectors. Indicating that the project is in parallel with the drying process but at the same time is a horizontal running machine Gökcan said that this new machine has found a rapid acceptance in the market thanks to its environmentally sensitive, quality and capacity productions by using less space and energy. Gökcan continuing his explanations about the project stated that this new project named Swell Soft is actually designed for finishing fabrics like towel and velvet, domestic and foreign patent rights are obtained and TUBITAK R&D supports are benefited within the scope of this project.Remarking that patented beating system of the machine has great advantages Gökcan said, “Thanks to its multiple-beating system, our machine can run at adjustable forces from both good and wrong side
or any single desired side of fabric in the direction or opposite way of piles. This process provides process quality and capacity that other conventional machines used up to date are not capable of by using less energy. Air circulation in the machine can be heated up to desired temperature according to process requirements and if desired circulation air might be added steam. Thus, if the product is wet, it dries and if dry, it is moistened. So, while softening process is contributed, different effects might be obtained. At the same time, the circulation air carries production waste dust released by the beaters in the cabinet to the filters. Automated dust evacuation system added to the machine on-demand evacuates the dust from the machine. As the cabinet is designed in a way that will keep the dust away, there isn’t any problem regarding cleaning issues. Our machine controlled by the computers can easliy be used by a single operator.”at ITM Fair in 2009, Gökcan said, “Advices of our visitors have helped us understand that our machine can be used in sectors like home textile, upholstery, flock, carpet and blanket as well as towel and velvet. Therefore, we enabled our machine to be used in these areas with new R&D studies. In 2011, we presented this new machine to the opinions of our visitors at ITMA/BARCELONA. We made the first serious contacts and preliminary tests within this fair. With the orders we received after the fair, we have started the procurement process of carpet finishing machines inland and abroad as of 2012.”
Gökcan stating that they don’t have a long history in the carpet sector but they have won general approval of domestic and foreign manufacturers within a short period emphasized that as a company, they didn’t add ‘carpet’ to their catalogue before proving their success. Gökcan remarked that being unable to clean out the dust off carpets creates a problem in terms of exportation but Entema has contributed to the solution of this problem thanks to its new technology besides bringing a new dimension to the known carpet quality with softer handle, livelier colors and more bulky carpets. He also informed us that R&D studies still continue and different versions of Swell Soft will be offered to the taste of manufactures in the following periods.
