Conducting its activities under 3 fields, Industrial, Advertisement and Textile, Prodigital presented its solutions in the field of textile to the tastes of the visitors at the ITM Fair. Afterthe fair, the Sales Manager of Prodigital Yaşar Şişman answered our questions.
How did you like the ITM Fair generally? What were your expectations? Could you satisfy your expectations?
We have participated in this fair for years. I think that more participants and visitors showed interest in the fair compared to the last year. As Prodigital, we have an experience of more than 6 years in this sector. We offer the brands of Mutoh and DGI for the textile groups. This year, Mutoh 1638W and 1624 Draftstation models were in a great demand and we sold a lot. ITM Fair was more successful compared to that in the last year. The fair became a very important and significant activity for the textile market.
Would you give information about the situation of the transfer printing market in Turkey? In addition to that what kind of solutions does the Prodigital offer the users?
Turkey has made a significant progress in the last years with respect to the area of transfer printing. The factors like the closeness of Turkey to the European market, the price increases in China and that the polyester production in the world has come to the fore compared to the cotton production created a significant market share for our country. The machines in the mode of 50 – 65 square meters pro hour in Mutoh and DGI product groups whose representation we perform drew a very intensive attention. Prodigital has a significan experience and knowledge accumulation in the field of textile. We blend our past experience with the knowledge accumulation which we have obtained from Mutoh and DGI, and we offer more productive and effective solutions to the market. We started to produce preprinting, printing and post-printing solutions for our customers. The target of the Prodigital is not only to sell machines. Prodigital shares its industry specific knowledge accumulation and experience with its customers together with machine sale. I mean, we serve as a partner firm. Partner is a concept that is much preferred in the textile sector. Textile market is not that kind of market where you can survive by just selling machines. Large and high volume works are undertaken in the textile industry. For that reason, the firms seek a partner in which it can have confidence and which it can progress without any problem. I mean, they do not only buy machines, but they also want the experience and the knowledge accumulation of the firm. As we as Prodigital provide that service very well, we are in the position of the preferred brand in the textile market for many years.
We observe that Prodigital has made a significant progress especially in the textile market. What are the characteristics which make you successful at that point?
After the sale of the machines, we share both our technique and our experiences with the sector. The most important characteristic which makes us successful in this sector is that. We experienced an intensive demand during the Fair. In addition to that, we made cooperation with Transmatik for post-printing. We had provided support until then for pre-printing and printing. And from then on, we started to offer solutions for post-printing. We assumed the dealership of the Transmatik, an Italian brand, whose distribution is performed by Artsan Transfer in Turkey. Thus, we can offer services from the beginning of the work until the last point.
What kind of studies do you have in the DGI section? Would you give information about the developments in that field?
With respect to the preference of the 4 color application in the 6 color and 4 color choices in the DGI group, as they desire more saturated printing with the 14 picoliter Konica other than the Epson head style machines in the upholstery fabric sector in Bursa, Denizli, Gaziantep and Kayseri, DGI has gained a significant market acceleration. Since the fabrics are thicker, more saturated painting is desired on the paper. As the 14 picoliter DGI provides a very good saturation, it offers a significant printing quality. DGI is one of the significant manufacturers in the world in that field. We keep on going our way with the blanket machines of Mutoh, with various DGI models and with Pulsar in the field of direct printing on the fabric, as well. There are the choices of 4, 8 and 16 heads. It has a width of 180 cm and a length of 12 meters. We offer various choices which may be required by the small, medium and large size enterprises.
Is the management of Mutoh satisfied with the studies you made?
Mutoh Valuejet 1638W has broken sales records in Turkey. And with respect to the sales throughout the world, Turkey broke a record and became the first in the sales. The senior managers of Mutoh visited our stand. They indicated that the innovations will also continue from now on. Our greatest target in the field of textile is the 320 size machine.
How are the investment decisions made in the textile market? Which points are considered by the textile industry more?
Compared to the industrial advertisement sector, textile market is a group that makes more researches and more investments world-wide. We concluded machine sales to a few of our customers with a single buy of 15, 20 and 30 purchases. In fact, these are investments which require both a budget and a significant research. It is impossible to experience such a purchasing method in the sign sector. We concluded its R&D studies 6 years ago. Rather than hearing the problems of the customers Prodigital performs projects which prevent the occurrence of the problems. Textile market performs works with deadlines in connection with foreign countries. It prefers to work with the best brands world-wide in order to prevent failures which may arise in the sector in that time. Mutoh is one of the special brands of the world in that regard. The sales performance of Mutoh in Turkey in the last period increased fast. Visitors from each field of the sector visited our stand at the Fair. In order to be able to address more visitors, we performed a two layer stand design. It pleased us very much that an extremely aware customer group followed us at the ITM Fair. We thank all our guests who came to the Fair and visited our stand.
What are the issues which must be considered in the machinery investment? Can we learn your advices and proposals at this point? Do you have a message that you would like to give to the sector?
The investor chooses the machine and his partner before starting his way. In fact, purchasing a machine is very easy. The machine must continue working without any risk after it is purchased. What we want to emphasize regarding the risk is that, for instance, you print on the foil and on the canvas and you deliver the work in the outdoor advertising sector. And regarding textile, the customer brings the textile material. Making a wrong printing may cause you a significant loss in real terms. Hence, you take a great risk. At this point, you can decrease the risk to zero with quality solutions. The solutions that we offer to the market with Mutoh and DGI draw an intense attraction. We reached and exceeded our annual targets in a short time. We take the side of our customers with all our power and energy.
